Covenant Orientation

Over 1000 Covenant Pastors have been a part of Covenant Orientation

As of November 2008 over 400 pastors were actively enrolled. Three hundred more had successfully completed the whole program. Others had transfered to North Park Theological Seminary.

Current Covenant Orientation course offerings can be printed from "Covenant Orientation forms and syllabi".

Covenant Orientation:

  • Fulfills the orientation requirement for credentialing (ordination, commissioning and licensure) set by the Board of the Ordered Ministry
  • Seeks to increase pastors' knowledge and appreciation of Covenant distinctives and heritage
  • Is designed to connect pastors more fully to the Covenant fellowship
  • Offers practical tools for fruitful ministry in the Covenant context
  • Is designed to be completed in 2 years, although more time can be taken
  • Consists of three components:
          Component 1: Orientation Studies (4 courses)
          Component 2: Covenant Life Experiences  (6 experiences)
          Component 3: Advising Relationship (1 year)
  • Two courses can be taken for 3 graduate credits each, transferable to any ATS member school.  
  • Program fee $4750
